People often ask me what a typical day is for me here at the Distillery.  The answer to that question is simple . . . there is no typical day around here, ever.  Each day has its own set of challenges, and two days are never the same.  There are hundreds of little tasks that are required to keep the business growing and moving forward.  From farm work to strategic planning sessions with our team, there is never a dull moment.  Although some days can be an uphill battle, I always try to be grateful for the career I chose and the people I get to meet and work with every day!

Owner & Creative Director

On paper, I say I am the Creative Director but that doesn’t really capture all the tasks I try to accomplish on any given day. On the creative side, I provide direction to our Graphic Designer on labels, marketing materials, advertisements, and signage. I work with our staff on events, social media, and sponsorships. There are days I am working on complying with government regulations. Sometimes, I am the interior designer when we need to pick furniture, paint colors or decorations. My favorite parts of my job involve collaborating with our amazing staff and building relationships in our community.

Business Manager

Primarily, I handle the financial side of the business and some HR responsibilities. Day-to-day, this means corresponding with our bank and accountant, running, and analyzing financial reports, and giving my input on business decisions. The spreadsheets are my favorite, of course. Jokes aside, I love working for a growing, family-owned business. It's really fun watching the work we do together yield results for our small team and couldn't ask to work for better people.

Tasting Room Manager

I manage the onsite tasting room, working with associates and customers to provide a wonderful distillery experience for everyone who visits. With many responsibilities under my belt ranging from merchandising to event planning I am always organizing and brainstorming ways to make a lasting impact on our customers during their visits.  I am always up for a challenge, and I love to learn new things. Running events and befriending customers would definitely be my favorite aspects of the job.

Sales Manager

I’m wheeling the Koenig Whiskey Wagon and peddling the booze!  I get to meet great people in the community and show them what fantastic spirits we create at Koenig!

I enjoy building relationships with owners, managers, and entrepreneurs who have a passion for what they do!

Office Manager

We all wear many hats around here. Every day is different: incoming & outgoing freight, government reports, purchasing (repairs, parts, labels, corks etc.), accounts receivable/payable, payroll and inventory. I also act as a liaison for employees and the barrel owners. Sometimes I am out in the liquor stores fluffing up shelves and educating the store employees about our wonderful local products.  I love the people I work with every day! I truly wake up and enjoy coming to work.

Lead Warehouse & Bottling Associate

Delfina has worked for Koenig Distillery for several years. We are so lucky to have her as a valued member of our team. She is our master labeler, pallet wrapper and box builder. When she isn’t looking after her seven kids, she likes to read and play volleyball. One of her other talents is cooking. Everyone comes for lunch when Delfina prepares a homecooked meal.

Orchard and Grounds Supervisor

Rosario prefers spending his time outside working in the elements. He has carefully pruned every tree in our orchard. There are over 70 acres that he looks after day to day. It’s hard work in all types of weather. He is always willing to step in and help when we take on new projects. When we started storing more barrels on site, Rosario helped build custom pallets. We certainly value all that he has done to make our property and our facilities not only look good but continue to produce exceptional fruit and award-winning spirits.
